Details: Winter 2015, Louis-Jean Cormier will present, under the Simone Records label, his second album, Les grandes aérodes, after several months of studio work with his musicians and accomplices Marc-André Larocque, Simon Pedneault, Adèle Trottier-Rivard , Guillaume Chartain, Alex McMahon, as well as Pierre Girard for sound recording and mixing. Accompanied by Daniel Beaumont in writing the texts, a choir and a fine line-up of guest musicians, some of whom have also collaborated on the arrangements, Louis-Jean Cormier explores new sounds on this new opus, sometimes more orchestral, more complex in the arrangements. The album was recorded at Wild, Planet and l'Antre du MAL studios, then mastered by Le Lab Mastering. A vinyl version will also be available. “Les grandes arrondissements” is Louis-Jean Cormier's (Karkwa) second solo album. Recorded and mixed by Pierre Girard, “Les grandes articules” is the result of a precious teamwork of several months in studio with his musicians and friends Marc-André Larocque, Simon Pedneault, Adèle Trottier-Rivard, Guillaume Chartain, Alex McMahon. Written in collaboration with Daniel Beaumont, along with a choir and a bunch of talented guest musicians who also have collaborated on the arrangements, Louis-Jean Cormier explores a new more orchestral, more complex sound.
