Details: During a conference attended by Spirou and Fantasio, scientists are struck by a paralyzing ray and then kidnapped. All over the world, the most prominent personalities from all disciplines disappear under the same conditions. The next on the list is none other than his friend the Count of Champignac! At the Professor's castle, Spirou discovers that the mysterious kidnappers are Zorgloïds, the robots of the megalomaniac genius, Zorglub. Alas Spirou does not manage to prevent the kidnapping of Champignac. Together with Fantasio, they pursue the kidnappers and manage to break into the space shuttle that Zorglub plans to send to Mars with all those who kidnapped him. He wants to rebuild a perfect society there, in his image of course. Spirou must stop the shuttle before it leaves the atmosphere... otherwise, it's a one-way ticket to the red planet!
