Details: When a knight from the Middle Ages and his valet cross ten centuries to find themselves in our time, they have the shock of their lives! And when in addition they find their distant descendants, one can imagine the generation gap that separates them! Everything was going well for the brave knight Godefroy de Montmirail (Jean Réno) in 1122 he had just been named lord and was preparing to marry the beautiful Frénégonde (Valérie Lemercier), an honor which also reflected on his valet Jacquouille (Christian Clavier ). But a spell projects master and valet a thousand years into the future. So many things to discover in 1992: running water, democracy, cleanliness, modern sexuality... Godefroy meets his distant descendant, Béatrice (Lemercier in a double role) while Jacquouille discovers that the last of his offspring, Jacquart ( Clavier again), owns the seigniorial castle, which has become a luxury inn. Godefroy must return to his time at all costs so that his destiny is fulfilled.
