Details: Amazon.ca Having first made a name for herself via a website, Lorie, a young French pop sensation for teenagers, did not take long to emerge from cyberspace. The star signed with the multinational Sony and has performed on the biggest stages in the Francophonie. The DVD Près de vous chronicles her journey while offering a glimpse into her daily life. We are introduced to her friends and loved ones, we follow her during her photo shoots, in concert, and during her promotional tours in France and Quebec. Although Près de vous is disjointed and repeats certain songs ad nauseam, the human portrait—albeit a bit self-indulgent—that director Carlos Sancho paints is far from lacking in interest. One cannot help but be charmed by the young star’s casual ease and curiosity. The extent of Lorie's talent also continues to impress: a former figure skater, she allowed herself to combine her two passions during a performance where she sang and danced on the ice. In addition to this 75-minute portrait, Près de vous includes three music videos, the making-of for two of them, and a karaoke version of "Toute seule." --Nicolas Houle From the Studio 'Relive my days, my recording sessions in the studio, my anecdotes, my friends, my dance rehearsals, my private concert at the VIP, my trips to the end of the world, my photos, my fits of laughter and my emotions... my life as an artist day by day! Lots of kisses.' Lorie.
