First Aboriginal artist with a folk of the genre, Matiu comes from the North Shore and is one of those artists unlike the sequin artists. What he calls his "bipolar folk" merges into a music of everyday events that seeks to understand human relationships, identity and, ultimately, the meaning of life, that of the reserve like that of city.

This singer-songwriter from the Mani-Utenam community gives us his first EP telling us what he sees outside, where what he likes to call Indian 2.0 is. A unifier, “among the people”, Matiu derails his raw voice like unsanded wood. He is an artist always in conversation who savors a life "all crooked calculated".
