The artist from Petit-Rocher, in northern New Brunswick, arrives with this new album featuring a slightly more relaxed, spacious vibe, without completely abandoning the energy of rock and catchy rhythms. Armageddon is an album about the end of the world. The title, like much of the songs, has been kicking around in Matt Boudreau's head for over three years. "I was inspired by Boy Pablo, Mac DeMarco, Beach House, and also, I imagined my house surrounded by the sea, a bit like my Acadian version of Gilligan's Island..."

The song Patio perfectly describes the musical style the singer is migrating to from his debut record Goéland (2018) toward the time of Armageddon: alternative pop. Phrases like "Y fait tu beau sur ton patio" (Is it nice on your patio) or "M'en va chez nous, demain, dans ma tite boîte de fer" (I'm heading home tomorrow in my little metal box) represent this song, which features a soft rhythm, a relaxed atmosphere, and a catchy melody, as the Acadian artist knows so well how to do. The record was produced by Matt at his Mouette Sounds Studio in Petit-Rocher. Musicians Benoit Morier and Chloé Breault accompany the singer on Patio.
