Details: Amazon.ca Torbjorn Brundtland and Svein Berge of Röyksopp (it's hard to remember their names!) were far from unknown when they recorded this first album. They are even part of the pillars of the Scandinavian electronic scene noticed by Biosphere and the Tellé label. A decidedly lively scene, close to the Rune Grammofon stable and the pianist Bugge Wesseltoft for the best known. Moreover, we find on Melody AM former Kings Of Convenience and Bel Canto, working to build a sound that has nothing mechanical, evoking here and there the film music of Ennio Morricone and Francis Lai with a sense minimalism inherited from Brian Eno and Erik Satie revised and corrected by the dub! Elegance is here the key word of these programmed but oh so organic rhythms. --Hervé Comte
