Details: Product Description Are documentary filmmakers always required to tell the truth? This is the question posed by Michael Moore: Mea Maxima Culpa. A documentary that reveals the less-than-flattering sides of committed filmmaker Michael Moore. Some of the directors' findings are rather disturbing and question not only the filmmaker's methods, but also his rather egocentric way of addressing political issues. Seeking to separate fact from fiction, Melnyk and Caine offer a balanced portrait of the subject, which provides a great starting point for deeper reflection on Michael Moore and the approach to political documentaries in general. Review "'Michael Moore: Mea Maxima Culpa': Puts Michael Moore in the spotlight." -- John Anderson, INTERNATIONAL HERALD TRIBUNE "An intelligent, provocative and necessary examination of the Michael Moore phenomenon" -- Joe Leydon, VARIETY "A Michael Moore-style film.... About Michael Moore!" -- Jette Kernion, CINEMATICAL
