Nominated for a 2020 Canadian Folk Music Award and the 2019 Indigenous Music Awards, the likable Carcajou (Kuekuatsheu) returns in full force with his 3rd album "Ashuapmushuan" (where one watches for the moose).

Guided by the river and the spirit of the winds, his voice resonates throughout the universe for the protection of living things on assi (earth) and for the pride of the millennial culture of his Innu hunter-gatherer people. The recipient of the 2019 CALQ Impulsion grant offers us a magnificent album with folk rock and traditional sounds that takes us on a journey to the heart of Nutshimit (towards the interior of the lands) and the myths and legends of the First Peoples.
