Details: Product Description Cowboys Fringants, Les Amazon.ca In Motel Capri, their second album, Les Cowboys Fringants continue their country-folk-western adventure by putting their characteristic bittersweet humor to good use. With their incredible energy and irresistible melodies, the quintet from Lanaudière offers catchy music that, beneath its frivolous exterior, provides a particularly interesting vision of Quebec society. Thus, in addition to its anecdotal songs, essentially pretexts for a party (like "Maurice au bistro"), Motel Capri includes touching, deceptively naive ballads ("M'a vivre avec toi") and tracks depicting urban poverty ("Voyou") or the political impasse in Quebec ("Mon pays"). While remaining very respectful of the country tradition, Les Cowboys Fringants succeed in giving the genre an extremely modern and urban touch. Motel Capri is the ideal album for partying, laughing, and even pondering a little, between two jigs! -- Nicolas Houle
