Details: Farid, a 26-year-old French boy, has to go to Algeria to save his father's house. Discovering this country where he had never set foot, he fell under the spell of a gallery of astonishing characters whose humor and simplicity would deeply touch him. Among them, his cousin, a lively and resourceful young man who harbors the dream of being able to reach France... When his father falls ill, a young man leaves for Algeria to save his father's house from being demolished. Although this is his first visit to the family's ancestral home, he is soon won over by the locals. When his passport is stolen he makes the most of being stuck and comes to appreciate the beauty and humor of his homeland.
