Love's originals ("Can't Understand," "June 4th Foundation") are fresh and bracingly intelligent: she somehow injects new life into "Amazing Grace" by giving it a zydeco feel, and the spartan take on Nirvana's "Come As You Are" is flat-out wonderful.
