Details: The Japanese scene has long given birth to the craziest bands. Whether it's on the avant-garde noise side of Merzbow or CCCC, the unbridled rock of the Boredoms which makes the Beastie Boys look like the Companions of the Song, or the free improvisation of Keiji Haino. Many have sought to explain it, in particular by theorizing on the specificity of Japanese metropolises and the country's history, made up of a mixture of tradition and modernity. Among the newcomers in 2001, the trio The Mad Capsule Markets. A glance at the cover is enough to understand how much this group owes to the aesthetics of SF films, local Z series, video games and manga. The iconography is strong (like the "Pulse" clip) and the music, often violent, is a mix of metal, industrial and technoid BPM celebrated with just the right amount of punk. Never posed or distanced (everything here invites you to read in the first degree), the combo convinces: to get an idea of it, we will listen in priority to "All The Time In Sunny Beach".
