Details: Grosse Boîte finally presents the very first album from the band Panache. Pa pa pa pa pa! Woo! Oooouh! Oooouh! Choruses that will become instant anthems, a mountain of onomatopoeia: Panache stays in your head for a long time. Panache pushes us to constantly hum expressions like “finger in the eye, hands on the ears” or even “Stop! Little Japanese girl, stop!”. Initially born from a challenge to insert as many intellectual references as possible into a pop song format, Panache arrives with an album full of catchy rhythms. Philippe Renault of Rue Frontenac adds: “To put it briefly, let’s say that Panache very skillfully integrates retro pop and punk energy, all delivered in a dynamic trio format.” Already at the top of university charts since the beginning of the summer of 2010, the group led by Carl-Éric Hudon and Benoît Fréchette puts the pop into their punk and contrasts it with clever lyrics dense with references to French films that you haven't even seen.
