Beyond the successful group for teenagers fans of The Cure that was Indochine in the 80s, we knew the leader man of taste, which he confirms here. Indeed, in 1992, he released solo what remains his most curious album, Dans la lune, made up of curious covers including one of the cult Young Marble Giants and another by Gérard Manset. Four years later follows Danceteria that Paradize extends. No doubt: Nicola has listened to Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails, which makes the electronic touch that Oli De Sat brings a little more obvious. "ElectraStar" brings back to the saturated guitars of the excellent Wax (1996) while the rest of the album comes alongside a host of guests: Gérard Manset (hey!), Ann Scott, Jean-Louis Murat or Mickey 3D. Equally singular, the ex-bass player of Hole (Melissa Auf Der Maur) comes to push the song, in French, on "Le Grand Secret". Surprising from a group from which we no longer expected much and which appears resuscitated, better than ever! -- Herve Comte
