Although he lived in France for a long time before settling in Quebec in 1998, Tomás Jensen has digested the artistic influences of his adopted land very well. "The Sultan" has a little air of Jean Leloup; "Mondo" is similar to the Colocs repertoire. On the other hand, his prose, very well shot, is perfectly original. The musical arrangements, full of finds, are based on singular instruments -oud, darbouka or even euphonium- which give a great richness to the album.
