Details: Lydia Képinski was born in Montreal on June 1, 1993. Her Franco-Polish origins rocked her in the French songs of Barbara, Brassens and Gainsbourg from her childhood. She studied classical piano to then tame pop music and learn the guitar on her own. Lydia presents all her facets on a first four bittersweet titles that sounds a bit like poetic-synthetic alternative pop. Between rhythmic pieces and others with a more raw, intimate character, Képinski does not mince his words. His off-the-wall humor transcends emotionally charged lyrics imbued with a dark yet luminous beauty. Lydia fully assumes her affinity for pop culture while displaying her ironic side that undeniably characterizes her. With her air of an eccentric young woman, the multi-instrumentalist does not hesitate to use her deceptively candid, tragicomic, sometimes even acerbic language to create images. Crackling images. Chiaroscuro images, without make-up.1. The painless roads2. June first3. 360 days4. Maia5. Belmont6. The swings7. On melamine8. Pius IX
