Prieur&Landry is a drum kit, a guitar, and a distortion that is at once gritty and soaring, underscored by the pounding of a hypnotic rhythm. Backed by a self-titled debut album, the 1,000 copies of which are now sold out (mostly at shows), the duo presents Surreal Memories.

This second opus, which is darker, is the logical progression for the band: bluesy, stoner rock tinged with grunge that combines heavy riffs with carefully grimy melodies. Ryan Battistuzzi (Breastfeeders, Malajube, We are Wolves) co-produced the album in addition to handling the recording and mixing. The prolific Richard Addison (Galaxie, Keith Kouna, Chocolat) provided the mastering.

Since 2014, Gabriel Prieur and Eliot Landry have been crisscrossing the province, in addition to having appeared in the lineups of the FME, Festif!, Woodstock en Beauce, and Coup de Grâce de Saint-Prime, among others. In 2016, they also opened for The Cult and Steve Hill at the Festival d’été de Québec. Far from gimmicks, the two musicians let loose on stage to deliver performances marked by authenticity.
