God Bless America - DVD (Used)
SKU: JT-7575-06VN
September 11, 2001, in the suburbs of Montreal. Pierre St-Roch (Sylvain Marcel), a sexual predator freed the day before, is banned from his home by his wife to whom he proclaims his innocence. He must also face the silent judgment of his neighbors who know of his run-ins with the law thanks to a list that circulates illegally and lists the sexual predators living in the area. Finally, to add to his tragedy, three of the five predators listed were murdered and maimed by a crazed vigilante. Insensitive to what is happening in New York that day, Pierre drifts into the concentration camp universe of the suburbs, constantly bumping into his very neighbors, who are also insensitive to everything that happens around them. On the evening of September 11, while President Bush will ask God to bless America in its pain as in its hatred, they will come to accept each other as they are. In short, they will be on the way to a new and strange friendship.
The DVD includes the original French version with option for English subtitles and a "making of" documentary.
