If vocally Kelly is very honorable, he above all masters writing and production with the talent of a visionary. Cascades of violins, gigantic choirs, a cappella, storms of percussion, there is in all these ballads a sense of drama and excess which makes them a sort of Beethoven of R'n'B. As for the uptempo tracks, from the first classic 'Bump' Grind' (whose title ended up defining a style) until the recent 'Fiesta' or 'Thoia Thong', they are systematically a celebration of party and sex.
