Details: Kamakazi is a young Montreal trio that has been boiling in francophone pop-rock for almost 10 years on the Canadian and international scene, the group existing under this name since 2006. Despite their young age, Nick Gagnon (vocals/guitar), Carl Boucher (bass/vocals) and Steve Gagnon (drums/vocals) all have a good musical background. Three guys who really dive in headfirst with their bombastic songs. That said, the group aims for the quality of its compositions to prove that an artist does not need dynamite to attract attention. Kamakazi released a debut album “Making the Best of the Worst” in 2008 on the Slam Discs label. As soon as it was released, the album was a great success and Kamakazi quickly made a name for itself on the Quebec music scene. Slam Disques is also responsible for discovering them when they were just three 17-year-olds. The label presented to the Quebec music industry, three English-speaking teenagers who chose to interpret their songs in French, quite the opposite of the usual path of punk rock bands starting in Quebec. Following their first album with Slam Disques, Kamakazi left the label and signed a new contract with Indica Records for their second album "Rien à cache", before going back to basics with Slam Disques for the release of an EP "Foxyboxe" in 2014 and their most recent album in English “See what happens”.
