Details: Product Description 2002 Album from the Passionate French Playboy Pop Singer, and Son of Superstar Johnny Hallyday. Amazon.ca It is difficult to make a name for yourself, especially when you carry that of a legendary father. Yet David Hallyday has managed to establish himself on the French scene. An accomplished composer (notably for his father, but also for Tina Arena and young talent Cylia) and an artist recognized by the public (with 2 platinum albums), David Hallyday makes a notable return with a record for which he entrusted the writing to Eric Chemouny (Johnny, Florent Pagny...) and Hocine Hallaf (Aston Villa). Composed in Paris and Los Angeles, recorded in London (with his American musicians), and mixed by Dave Bascombe (Placebo, The Verve...) Révélation opens like a diary in which the singer reveals his melancholy ("Mon dernier combat") and his regrets ("Sous la pluie de novembre", "Repenses-y si tu veux") set against a backdrop of vibrant or light moods. An opus that often flirts with spleen without ever truly sinking into depression. --Valérie Dupouy
