For nearly 15 years, Rita Tabbakh has shared her voice and soul with us, both on stage and on television. Best known for her title role in Sherazade les mille et une nuits in Paris and throughout Quebec, as well as her appearances in Dracula, Don Juan, La Voix 2, and several musical revues at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal, Rita Tabbakh offers us, on this debut album, her own deeply personal versions of some of the greatest French songs of the last century.

With humility and sensitivity, she revitalizes masterpieces by Aznavour, Brel, Piaf, Dassin, Dalida, Gainsbourg, Sardou, Jean Ferrat, Véronique Sanson, and Léo Ferré. The nuanced, modern arrangements breathe new life into these timeless songs, whose poetry remains relevant even decades after their creation. Recorded at the renowned Studio Piccolos in Montreal, with Céline Dion’s musicians and the Esca string quartet, each song suggests a distinct universe in which Rita Tabbakh is convinced you will see yourself.

Rich with all her experience and the passion for which she is known, Rita Tabbakh gives her whole self in this album filled with emotion, warmth, and tenderness.
