Details: For each of Sas Agapo's works, there are my images, my scenario, my interpretation of "pictures of life" which take place at very precise moments in time, where the themes impose themselves on me without my be at the piano in search of these. The short texts therefore serve to circumscribe the context in which each was composed. However, those are free to discover them without any explanation and to see their own images, their own scenario... Sas Agapo Of all the pieces on this CD, which were all composed in Greece, Sas Agapo (I love you) is the only one whose piano writing contains the accents of this country which at times reveal an oriental influence. She is the soul of the Greek people, whom I thank for her welcome with open arms, her generosity, her art of living, her courage, her wisdom and above all, her free spirit. Elpida (Hope) There is grief, trial, weariness, deception, disappointment, pain, and then there is "elpida", which means "hope" in Greek. Here, all the emotion is directed towards the strength and resilience of the Greek people, who have suffered so much in recent years, who continue to resist, to stand up, to keep hope, to live every day until the end, as if there was no tomorrow... Elpida is also fragility, the quest and finally prayer, always waiting and hoping that it will be heard... Domino His name was Domino… an irresistible canine companion, exulting with joy to the delight of young and old alike, until the day when he was fiercely attacked to death by a vicious dog, three times his size, while he was in the arms of his mistress, who unfortunately could not save him... Horror scene that we prefer to forget but which depicts a similar reality, that of man himself, where innocent victims die every day , for no reason, under the hands of unscrupulous assailants. This piece in memory of Domino is above all serene and consoling...
