Details: For each of the works on Sas Agapo, there are my images, my script, my interpretation of "tableaux of life" that take place at very specific moments in time, where the themes impose themselves on me without me being at the piano in search of them. The short texts therefore serve to define the context in which each was composed. However, everyone is free to discover them without any explanation and to see their own images, their own scenario... Sas Agapo Of all the pieces that appear on this CD, all of which were composed in Greece, Sas Agapo (I love you) is the only one whose piano writing contains the accents of this country, which at times reveal an oriental influence. It is the soul of the Greek people, whom I thank for their open-armed welcome, their generosity, their art of living, their courage, their wisdom, and more than anything, their free spirit. Elpida (Hope) There is sorrow, hardship, weariness, deception, disappointment, pain, and then there is "elpida," which means "hope" in Greek. Here, all the emotion is aimed at the strength and resilience of the Greek people, so tried in recent years, who continue to resist, to stand tall, to keep hope alive, to live each day to the fullest, as if there were no tomorrow... Elpida is also fragility, the quest, and finally prayer, always waiting and hoping that it will be heard... Domino His name was Domino... an irresistible canine companion, exulting with joy to the great delight of young and old alike, until the day he was fiercely attacked to death by a vicious dog three times his size, while he was in his owner's arms, who sadly could not save him... A scene of horror that one prefers to forget, but which depicts a similar reality, that of man himself, where innocent victims die every day, for no reason, at the hands of unscrupulous attackers. This piece, in memory of Domino, is intended above all to be serene and consoling...
