But it's a shame none of her friends ever listen to the lyrics of the songs, because there'd surely be a few less murders. Everyone's singing about the hopelessness of teen life, and the inevitability of a gruesome early death! Right off the bat with "Scream" Master P featuring Silkk The Shocker are bemoaning how "homeboys" never last long in horror movies (echoing the cameraman's feelings). You'll find D'Angelo's "She's Always In My Hair" which opened the movie, but will be hard-pressed to work out what then went where. Even Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds have made "Red Right Hand" unrecognizable from its better usage in the first film. Because of the muddled mixing of tracks, the original Scream album is a worthier memory.
