Details: Amazon.ca Musical trends change at the speed of light. Hence, Second Coming's heavy grunge rock comes off as almost retro. Of course, that brooding Zeppelin-and-Sabbath-influenced sound was a bit retro from the start, really. And while this Seattle-based quartet does pray to the god of Alice in Chains and Soundgarden on tunes such as "Tonight," it also ably beefs up the testosterone with the thug boogie of "Soft" and moodily waxes atmospheric on "Vintage Eyes. " The turgid sense of foreboding on "Free" also hammers home.
