Originally from France and living in Quebec since 2013, singer-songwriter Shayato has teamed up with talented producer Robert Lafond (Gold Record for the song “On traverse un miroir,” immortalized by Céline Dion) to present her brand-new songs.

Supported by tightly crafted orchestrations, Shayato delivers a captivating work without pretense, consisting of ten songs with melodies as poignant as they are unforgettable. With her characteristic sincerity, Shayato refuses to conform to any label or pre-established format. Her first glimmers of divine love show us, without compromise, that she is an exceptional, free, and authentic artist.

This debut album charts a new and refreshing path that invites us to take time for reflection and to encounter our true nature. In her voice, a certain level of awakening is at work to inspire us and do us good through her compositions. From the outset, her songs transport us to a mysterious and extremely benevolent elsewhere. The sweetness and poetic strength of her melodies merge with lyrics of great depth.

Shayato draws her inspiration from the richness of her inner life; this is likely what explains the mesmerizing transformative power of her prayers set to music.

Her prayer-songs can be described as a form of secular spirituality. This concept highlights the search by a growing number of our contemporaries for a universal spirituality open to everyone and unaffiliated with any specific religion. Her songs speak to listeners of all cultures, ages, and beliefs. Her approach is not tied to any particular religion, even though it is practiced in many spiritual traditions. Since she began presenting and performing her compositions in concert, Shayato has immediately built a solid base of loyal fans who follow her from show to show.

A contemporary album to contemplate and listen to with a joyful heart.
