Details: Product Description Norman, Patrick Amazon.ca In some 30 years of career, Patrick Norman has recorded dozens of albums, given hundreds of shows, but he immortalizes for the first time one of his performances in Intimate evening. The 15 titles testify very well to the career of the singer: we find there successes such as the essential "Quand on est en amour", "L'Hirondelle" or "Elle s'en va" as well as less known titles, although everything also relevant, such as "Souvenir d'un vieillard" and the excellent "Guitare de Jérémie", written with the complicity of Michel Rivard. Oscillating between country, pop and rock, Norman is doing well with his imposing formation of 10 musicians, including three singers. If, here and there, we can feel the instrumentalists a little too riveted to their scores, overall, the performance is impeccable. The atmosphere is warm and the energy of the moment, sometimes palpable, so that certain pieces reach unsuspected heights. Evening Intimate highlights Patrick Norman's neat but unassuming approach, his versatility and the depth of his repertoire, which remains, to this day, still too little known. --Nicolas Houle
