Okabe may have grown a little wiser through his often wrenching experiences, but he remains as unapologetically nutty as he was when the series began. Voice actor J. Michael Tatum keeps Okabe appealing and believable, even at his emotional extremes, and the rest of the cast performs with equal aplomb. A delightful mixture of adventure, mystery, romance, and slapstick, Steins;Gate ranks among the very best recent anime series, and the theatrical feature slated for release in Japan in early 2013 is something to look forward to.
