On Struttin' Our Stuff, the ex-Stone teams up with an impressive assortment of famous friends for an impressively played but enjoyably casual set of rootsy originals and classic covers, including a soulful reworking of the '70s Stones tune "Melody." In addition to Wyman's trademark bass pulse and occasional vocals, the album features guest guitarists Eric Clapton, Peter Frampton, and Albert Lee, frequent Stones sideman Bobby Keys on sax, and Procol Harum's Gary Brooker on piano. Guest vocals come from English R&B great Georgie Fame, Ace/Squeeze/Mike and the Mechanics singer Paul Carrack, and talented newcomer Beverly Skeete. --Scott Schinder
