Details: What do symphonic music and hip-hop have in common? During an exciting week in August 2005, at Camp musical St-Alexandre, an orchestra of 70 musicians, bringing together young campers and professional volunteers, left Mozart and Bach behind to play the syncopated compositions of the popular group Loco Locass. The filmmakers Martine Asselin and Marco Dubé followed this unprecedented adventure step by step - so successful that it will be repeated the following year -, up to the triumphant concert at the Center culturel de Rivière-du-Loup. Their dynamic documentary makes us live the five short days of rehearsals that the musicians had to merge two universes with different musical vocabularies. Symphonie Locass also evokes the warm complicity that has grown between the 29 teenage campers and the 3 singers of Loco Locass, integrated into the camp activities. A captivating clash of cultures that quickly turned into musical and human harmony.
