Details: Amazon.ca Britney Spears, a lolita with choreographed performances, is facing stiff competition from the dynamic and smiling Lorie. Chosen to fill the skates of the queen of figure skating, the little blonde rebel is swapping the icy expanses for the glitz of variety shows. After declaring in a dance-electro pop tone "I will be (your best friend)," this twenty-year-old star-in-the-making, inaugurated by the Internet, continues Tenderly ignoring her detractors. Under the guidance of song veteran Pierre Billon, spotted in Johnny Hallyday’s circle, the young lady continues her meteoric rise with a second album stuffed with kisses and hugs ("I need love"), tender maternal thoughts ("I love you mom," following a previous tribute to her manager father "The Man of my life"), dedications to fans ("Fan of you"), and calls to party ("Let the fun happen"). Eleven perky melodies wrapped in a book of erotic-juvenile images celebrating Lorie in fishnets, jeans, cleavage, negligee, with bubblegum or a parasol. --Sabrina Silamo
