Details: Product description Previously Enjoyed & Fully Guaranteed Amazon.ca In 1999, the world discovered what would become a true cinematic phenomenon: The Matrix. Skillfully orchestrating the anticipation of fans, directors Andy and Larry Wachowski released, four years later and six months apart, the next two installments of this science-fiction saga: The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, the final chapter of the trilogy. With the impending attack of the machines on Zion, the last vestige of humanity, dissension begins to be felt within the community, torn between the need to gather all its forces at the city gates and the need to let Neo, the chosen one, continue his mission alone, thereby depriving them of a valuable defense ship. While The Matrix Reloaded seemed to focus primarily on action, moving the plot initiated with brilliance in The Matrix forward by giant, often disconcerting strides, The Matrix Revolutions, while offering its share of spectacular fight scenes with the help of impeccably mastered digital technology, grandly concludes the philosophical-futuristic trilogy and provides fans with the necessary keys to resolve the questions left hanging in the previous episodes. The narrative's overt Judeo-Christian morality, the caricature of the last humans' society, and some overly pushed special effects may annoy some, but The Matrix Revolutions remains a sumptuous moment of science-fiction cinema. Making-of featurettes, a sneak peek at the video game, and a summary of the saga complete this double DVD. – Helen Faradji.
