In addition to the most well-known comedic episodes such as “Génies en herbe,” “Dagnel Spécifité,” or “La Chorale des grosses polices,” the compilation includes several rare sketches taken from radio broadcasts and recordings that are now impossible to find, such as La Cassette de farce. In all, the album contains over forty sketches that generally take the form of parodies, such as “Faune Canada,” which chronicles the life of an intriguing animal named the Windex. While some sketches remain very funny, others that refer to defunct programs like Télé-Service have lost their edge. The Sketches nevertheless remains a successful compilation that, along with the album The Tounes, released at the same time, provides a good summary of the recording and radio career of Rock et Belles Oreilles. -- Nicolas Houle
