Amazon.ca For the many fans of the Belgian singer, this "Toi du monde" will be a happy surprise: the feeling that her music has reached a new dimension. This is not only the result of a career already spanning many years, but also of the occurrence of painful trials (the death of her father) and the open-mindedness brought about by an exploration of world music (flamenco, Malagasy and Brazilian music, Afro, jazz...). As a result, this album, which also features lyrics by Brigitte Fontaine and an original composition by Francis Cabrel, breathes diversity and serenity. And it takes you on a whirlwind of colors for a musical journey that concludes with a masterful "Triptyque pour cordes". --Pierre-Marie Dufour
