Release Date: 08-06-1999

Details: Amazon.ca A curious trio, The Tea Party, sometimes compared—rightly or wrongly—to Nine Inch Nails. Like Trent Reznor, this Ontario, Canada group likes to handle the dark and the unusual with a great array of strange effects. While at its core The Tea Party shows a clear penchant for tortured heavy blues and strangely convoluted rock, it does not hesitate to draw inspiration from sounds harvested across five continents. Placed under the aegis of, among others, Baudelaire, the surrealists, and Nietzsche, Triptych is a clever collage of influences from which conformism is excluded. --Cyril Deluermoz Product Description 1999 fifth album from Canadian alternative metal trio with a faithful cult following in the U.S. 12 tracks.
