Details: Amazon.ca A Crab in the Head confirms the promises announced by Zigrail, the first feature film by André Turpin, shot in 1995. After a diving accident in the Indian Ocean, Alex (David La Haye) finds himself forced to stay in Montreal, forced to face his pathological fear of confrontation and his dread of displeasing. Indeed, whether with his best friend (Emmanuel Bilodeau), his girlfriend (Chantale Giroux), deaf and mute, his gay agent (Vincent Bilodeau), or a journalist (Isabelle Blais) with whom he falls in love, the handsome Alex is a nice seducer who molds himself to the desires of others, a Zelig of human relations who, by wanting to please everyone, will end up wreaking havoc in his life and in that of others. André Turpin, talented cinematographer of Cosmos and Maelström, returns to directing with this gently existential comedy, a simple and sincere film, in which he points out the complacent kindness of the Quebec man. As a dilettante of feelings who does more harm than good, David La Haye is magnificent: his character, believable enough to make girls cringe, is distant enough for guys to recognize themselves in it! --Eric Fourlanty
