Details: At the dawn of her sixteenth birthday, Marie embraces life without worrying about the consequences of her choices. When her mother dies suddenly from cancer, Marie no longer knows where to turn to cope with life. Her father, devastated by the loss of his wife, will not be able to console or advise his daughter who will seek comfort in the arms of her first love: Antoine, the star hockey player of the village. In a burst of passion, the two young people consume their love and Marie finds herself pregnant. Devastated and not knowing how to live this ordeal, Marie does not obtain the support of her father, nor that of Antoine who leaves for Vancouver, having been drafted to go play hockey with the Canucks. Alone and reeling under the weight of such a crucial decision, Marie will have only the memories of her mother to lean on to get through the most difficult season of her life: a winter of turmoil.
