Her voice is clear and intense, charged with sensuality, but much like Claire Pelletier or Catherine Lambert, Manon Lévesque uses it without excess, preferring the subtle nuances of the human soul to grand stylistic effects. A trained pianist, the young woman accompanies herself, the instrument harmoniously embracing the forms of her feminine universe. Her vivid writing explores the great elements (earth, wind, water) in a style that is neither narrative nor flashy. One enters her world through “La Porte du rêve” and leaves it through “Un berceau dans l’ère,” a sort of hymn to life beginning anew.
