Details: Watermark is the arresting new film from multiple award-winning filmmakers Jennifer Baichwal and Nick de Pencier, and renowned photographer Edward Burtynsky. Shot in ultra-high-definition video and full of soaring aerial perspectives, this film brings together diverse stories from around the globe about our relationship with water: how we are drawn to it, what we learn from it, how we use it and the consequences of that use. "An immersive version of [Burtynsky's] ravishing photographs: thrilling, terrifying and enraging all at once." Simon Houpt, THE GLOBE AND MAILTrajectoires is a documentary that transports us to the four corners of the planet to explore our relationship with water and its consequences. Why does it attract us? What does it teach us? How do we use it? In China, the directors show us the huge floating abalone farms on the Fujian coast, as well as the construction site of the largest dam in the world, the Xiluodu, six times larger than the Hoover Dam. They then take us to the delta of the mighty Colorado River, a barren desert where the water no longer reaches the ocean, then to the water-intensive leather tanneries of Dhaka.
