Detalles: Amazon.ca Abrasive, trampy Danielle (Juno Temple, Atonement) could care less what her high school classmates think of her. But when she's paired with chubby (and gay) Clarke (Jeremy Dozier) for a marriage exercise where they have to treat a bag of flour as a baby and her mother (Milla Jovovich, The Fifth Element) introduces a new prospective husband (William H. Macy, Fargo), Danielle's independent streak crumbles and she takes Clarke on a road trip to find her actual father. Dirty Girl is rough around the edges, but it has a powerful emotional core. The road-trip/searching-for-a-lost-parent story has its familiar signposts, but the smart and funny script is coupled with excellent performances from the young leads and the seasoned supporting cast (also featuring Mary Steenburgen and Dwight Yoakam as Clarke's conflicted parents). A few scenes try too hard and miss the emotional mark, but it's more than made up for by what works tremendously well. Anyone, gay or straight, who grew up feeling lost and confused will find Dirty Girl genuinely affecting. An excellent debut by writer-director Abe Sylvia. --Bret Fetzer Special Features Feature Audio Commentary with Writer/Director Abe Sylvia Deleted and Extended Scenes Spanish subtitles From the Studio Let them talk.
