Abandonné tout jeune par sa mère aux services de la protection de l'enfance, Malony à être transféré d'une famille d'accueil à une autre, ne s'attachant jamais à rien ni personne. Devenant un adolescent à problèmes, celui-ci fera souvent face à une juge de la justice juvénile qui ne sait plus quoi inventer pour traiter ce cas aux allures indomptables. En désespoir de cause, on confie le garçon à un éducateur, qui tente par un programme particulier de rétablir la situation. Malheureusement, le processus ne se fera pas sans larmes, sans douleur, sans effort...

Abandoned by his mother at the age of 6, Malony is constantly in and out of juvenile court. An adoptive family grows around this young delinquent: Florence, a children's magistrate nearing retirement, and Yann, a caseworker and himself the survivor of a very difficult childhood. Together they follow the boy's journey and try unfailingly to save him. Then Malony is sent to a stricter educational center, where he meets Tess, a very special young girl who shows him that there are reasons for hope.
