Details: Amazon.ca Primitive, simplistic, derivative--Bachman-Turner Overdrive were all these things. But the Randy Bachman-fronted group also did blue-collar riff-rock like no one else. Indeed, it's hard to imagine the Me Decade without tracks like "Takin' Care of Business," "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet," and "Roll on Down the Highway" blasting out of tinny car stereos. Not Fragile, the group's third disc, boasts the latter two numbers, guaranteed to get any party started, as well as the insanely camp "Rock Is My Life, And This Is My Song" and the locomotive "Givin' It All Away." Bachman, ex of the Guess Who, is always ready with an amiable, if not stomping, riff. Too bad co-vocalist C.F. Turner's hysterically over-the-top blues howling on laughable tunes like "Sledgehammer" and "Blue Moanin'" seriously dates the record. Not Fragile is also notable for its proud promotion of "left speaker" and "right speaker" guitar solos. Ah, the '70s. --Shawn Conner Product Description After threatening with their second LP, BTO finally hit #1 with their third album. Issued in '74, this is the one with their all-time biggest hit, You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet, plus another big one, Roll on down the Highway, and more stadium-sized rock anthems!
