After two albums, the foursome fronted by songwriters Ron Hawkins and Steve Stanley split acrimoniously in 1994, but eventually reunited six years later. 2001's Nothing Short of a Bullet is a live documentation of that comeback tour captured, fittingly enough, in Toronto and Buffalo. It's a crisp live recording featuring the Low plowing resolutely through their high-octane power folk. The real surprise is that after years apart the quartet was able to get back together and play fan favourites "Eternal Fatalist" and "Salesmen, Cheats & Liars" exactly the same as in the old days. There are no surprises, and because of that, Nothing Short of a Bullet comes off as an odd greatest-hits package that will appeal to fans and really no one else.
