Details: Over the past four years, Vanderslice's records have charted the incremental growth of one of the finest songwriters working under the radar of rock music today. If his prior records were a gradual procession of style and craft this one constitutes a quantum leap, showcasing John at the top of his form. Pitchfork and Entertainment Weekly have already run expectant pieces in support of this release, and the press praised his last Barsuk effort CELLAR DOOR. "Exactly the kind of honest, razor-sharp record people need to hear right now - San Francisco Chonicle" "The most important songwriter of the moment - Esquire"
