Details: Three gals and a guy from New York, The Exciters were one of the most fabulously soulful acts to emerge from the 1960s girl group explosion, thanks in part to Brenda Reid, their lulu of a lead vocalist. The group's early 60s recordings have been reissued in recent times. This collection spotlights their subsequent more uptown sides for the Bang, Shout and RCA labels.
