Details: Amazon.ca After a string of country-pop hits in the '80s, Steve Wariner seemed to settle into a journeyman's rut until 1998's heart-tugging "Holes in the Floor of Heaven" (and its album, Burnin' the Roadhouse Down) delivered the biggest success of his career. Not surprisingly, Wariner has chosen to go with the emotional flow on this ballad-heavy follow-up. Both the title-track single and "I'm Already Taken" (a remake of his debut recording from 1978) cross the line where sentiment becomes sap, while too much of the rest is bland at best.
